With the Mk3 it was pretty easy to reset, having set it off by accident a couple of times opening the bonnet with alarm still set (usally 6am when was checking screen wash etc lol). The top of the air filter is in the way - at least on a 2 litre - so that needs to go and there are three or four retainers that need to be unclipped. I have been having a starting trouble on my ford mondeo diesel 1.8 Tdci, mk4. Once the key is turned, the engine starts at first but then the engine shuts down as if no fuel and then it cranks but does not start. After a few tries starts but then I have to press the full gas to get it going normal again.
